The Greek region consists of many areas to which access via the road network is difficult and time-consuming. Natural disasters, from extreme weather events or due to forest fires, highlight the importance for regular monitoring in such areas and at the same time emphasize the impossibility of such monitoring through existing, conventional means.

Finally, the conditions that have prevailed due to the Covid-19 pandemic emphasize the need to find innovative solutions for the correct
compliance with social distancing and curfew rules.

In many such areas and facilities, G. GLENTOS A.V.E. KIVO huts have already been used, either at a national/public or private level. The main idea of SafeKIBO is the creation of an innovative observation system that will upgrade the existing shelters offered by G. GLENTOS SA.

Specifically, the huts will be equipped with optical and thermal cameras, microphone sensors and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems. All these technologies combined with algorithms that will be developed specifically for this Project will give the user the ability to identify, locate and track unauthorized persons or SMIs as well as counter the threat posed by the latter using telecommunication jamming technology.

SafeKIBO is an innovative surveillance system for public spaces & infrastructure that can be added to the existing KIBO cabins of G. GLENTOS SA. and allows the user to perform advanced surveillance functions in infrastructure and areas where access is not easy.

SafeKIBO is a modular system, which means that depending on the needs of each user, the appropriate sensors can be placed. This will allow the technological solution and innovation to have applications in different situations and conditions.
